While I also shoot digital, I really enjoy the process of shooting film-- having to be judicious about each shot and having no idea how the shot really looks until I get the film developed. In the Quilt Series, I take images and cut them into traditional American quilt patterns then I hand stitch them. The series plays with the notions of the role of women in the arts as well as challenging the notion that photography might be more of a craft instead of a fine art. Over the years I’ve received some honorable mentions from the International Photography Awards (IPA's)
